Our Mission

To assist our neighbors who are aging or have disabilities, to live their best lives by self-directing when, how, and where they receive their support and services.

Our company has been a leader in providing fiscal agent services to Wisconsin communities for more than 20 years. Known to many as Lori Knapp, LKiChoice was one of the first to offer financial management services to support people who choose self-direction.

The Lori Knapp company was founded in 1971 by Don and Bette Knapp. The original service offerings focused on residential care. In 2011 Lori Knapp developed its Fiscal Agent business. The residential and in-home Lori Knapp business was named Lori Knapp Cares and the new fiscal agent business was LKiChoice. Read the full story of Lori Knapp.

Direct Care Professionals: Focus on helping people stay independent and active in their communities.

We maintain an extensive database of in-home Direct Care Professionals that you can access whenever you need services, creating new opportunities for you. We also make it simpler for you to file Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), receive payments, and keep your skills up to date with training programs. Add your name to our database if you’d like to take on additional responsibilities in your community, or refer a skilled and experienced in-home Direct Care Professional to us.
