We recently received this heartfelt letter from a parent of two children formerly enrolled in Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS). With her permission, we wanted to share it with the LKiChoice community. It’s not every day that we get to see the full impact of the work we do—beyond the paperwork, the phone calls, and the day-to-day tasks—but this open letter reminds us why we do what we do and how meaningful our support can be to the individuals we serve. It’s a reflection of how even the smallest actions can make a lasting difference.
Dear LKiChoice Home Health Services Team,
As I write this, I’m finding it hard to believe the words I write or the thoughts I have will be enough to properly thank those at LKiChoice. I’m hoping what comes out tells you all what you have come to mean to our family. I’ve wanted to write this for so long because I need you to truly understand the difference you’ve made in our lives.

Beth Flansburg, from that very first interaction, you showed us what exceptional care really means. When I was drowning in paperwork for my sons’ care, your instant email responses and gentle reminders weren’t just helpful—they were lifelines. Those “friendly reminder” emails you sent when I was too overwhelmed to respond? They showed me that you truly understood what it means to support a family caring for children with disabilities. You weren’t just doing your job; you were being our guardian angel.
There’s the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” When I hear this saying from someone, I tell them, “No… It takes a mom and LKiChoice!” This holds so much truth to it because honestly, that’s what it took to make our world work smoothly. Through every email, every phone call, every piece of paperwork, the dedication from Beth and her team shone through. And while we never met in person (which still makes me a bit sad), I honestly feel like you’re part of our family.
When my sons’ caretakers needed anything, the response wasn’t just prompt—it was thorough and caring. That level of attention and dedication is something truly special in today’s world.
The services we received from LKiChoice [were] so much more than the fiscal services we understood we would be receiving—it was a partnership, support, and genuine care that I’ve never experienced from any other company. Each interaction showed me that this wasn’t just a job for them; it was a calling.
I find myself tearing up (yes, literally right now) thinking about how much I miss working with you all. Cameron and Logan tease me about how my ADHD, they say, “Your ADHD didn’t show so much when you were working with “Miss Beth” maybe you should give her a call!” LOL
To Beth and every single person at LKiChoice: you probably go home thinking you’ve just done another day’s work. Just know that your “just doing my job” changes lives. The extra steps you take, the care you show, the support you provide—it’s rare and precious and deserves to be celebrated.
Cameron and Logan wanted me to make sure I said “Hi” from them. They’re older now, but I have told them about every person involved in their care so they can succeed. They appreciate everything you did for our family. We might not be active clients anymore, but there are so many days when I miss the incredible support system and care you gave.
I keep imagining the new families coming your way and how you’re out there changing another family’s life for the better, just like you changed ours. The dedication and care you show comes so naturally that it’s clear this isn’t just a job for any of you—it’s a calling.
Please know that you’ll always be part of our family, I plan to keep sending those occasional “Hello” emails because once family, always family. Thank you for being the extraordinary people you are and for creating a company that truly understands what it means to care.
P.S. To my sons’ guardian angels at LKiChoice: you’ve shown us what true professional care mixed with personal touch looks like. We miss you, we value you, and we’ll always be grateful for the difference you made in our lives. If we didn’t tell you then, I hope through this letter, you know how thankful we are for taking care of our family. Because that’s what you did—you took care of US.
You may think you were just doing your job but you were doing so much more. You were providing peace of mind, offering support, and creating a foundation of trust that allowed our family to thrive. Please know that your impact continues to resonate in our lives every day. If there’s ever anything we can do to support you or your mission, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You’ve given us so much; we’d be honored to give back in any way we can.
With tears of gratitude and endless appreciation,
Angela, Cameron, and Logan
